Then, it's done. From now on, on To/Cc/Bcc fields of Compose Mail dialog, just type some character of the contact and a list of matches will be shown for choosing.

This page will guide you through steps for setting up LDAP for Thunderbird, such setup helps filling your contact with the whole's company emails.

  • Go to Tool/Address book
  • Go to File/New/LDAP Directory
  • In General Tab, enter:
    • Name: Catglobe Mail
    • HostName: ldap.catglobe.com
    • Base DN: dc=cgdom,dc=local
    • Port Number: 389
    • Bind DN: [email protected] (xxx is your username on cgdom domain)
  • In Advanced Tab, enter:
    • Scope: subtree
    • Search filter: (&(objectclass=top)(mail=*))
  • Click OK
  • Go to Tool/Account Settings
  • Select your email account
  • Choose Composition & Addressing
  • Choose Use a different LDAP server then chose Catglobe Mail

Then, it's done. From now on, on To/Cc/Bcc fields of Compose Mail dialog, just type some character of the contact and a list of matches will be shown for choosing.
